Why We Give

God so loved the world that He GAVE!  And He gave His very BEST!  We should follow His example in giving.  Whether we are giving of our finances, or of ourselves by serving, we should give our very best!  When we give our best, with a cheerful heart, God promises to bless us beyond our wildest imagination, hopes and dreams!


How We Give

God's Word instructs us to bring our tithe (the word tithe means 10%), freewill offerings and gifts to the house of the Lord for the purpose of fulfilling His ministry.  This was not instituted or commanded by the church, but by God.  You can give during the service or anytime online.


Another equally important way we give is through serving, "giving back".  Opportunities to serve exist throughout the ministries of BSOP, as well as local and global missions we are partnered with.  We encourage you to connect by giving of your gifts, talents, and time.


When We Give

When we give, the gospel is shared, lives are changed, people are clothed and fed, hearts are healed, churches are built; and we are blessed by God so that we can give again.

Support a Cause

Open harvest Ministry food/clothing

On the third Saturday of every month, we open our doors to assist with food and clothing of others in need of a little help.  Sign up begins at 8:30am and doors open at 9:00am; first come, first serve, as long as supplies last.  

If you are experiencing a time of need, we would appreciate the chance to help.  

If you would like to give back to the community, this ministry does accept approved donations, and opportunities to serve are available.

A local mission we have partnered with is the Lovelady Center located in Birmingham, Alabama.  This is a Faith-based transitional center providing housing and rebuilding opportunities to assist women in restoring their lives.
